ONCE upon a time therewas a very beautifuldoll's-house; it was red brickwith white windows, and ithad real muslin curtains anda front door and a chimney.
IT belonged to two Dollscalled Lucinda and Jane;at least it belonged to Lucinda,but she never ordered meals.

Jane was the Cook; but shenever did any cooking, becausethe dinner had been boughtready-made, in a box full ofshavings.
