Sec. 4966.—Any person publicly performing or representingany dramatic or musical composition, for which copyright hasbeen obtained, without the consent of the proprietor of the saiddramatic or musical composition, or his heirs or assigns, shall beliable for damages therefor, such damages in all cases to be assessedat such sum, not less than one hundred dollars for thefirst and fifty dollars for every subsequent performance, as tothe Court shall appear to be just. He graduated from Harvard with theclass of 1897 and shortly afterward spent two yearsin Italy and at the University of Leipzig.
